Man arrested over Adelaide shop fire

A 57-year-old man is facing an arson charge after a $600,000 fire which severely damaged a group of shops in central Adelaide.
The blaze broke out about 3am on Wednesday in the group of shops on Unley Road, taking firefighters about 20 minutes to bring under control.
Police said the man was arrested at Encounter Bay, south of Adelaide, on Wednesday afternoon and they expected to charge him with arson.
