Adelaide man detained after car chase

A car chase which turned into a foot chase will see a man appear in court charged with evading police in Adelaide.

Patrols tried to stop a Mitsubishi sedan at suburban Enfield late on Monday night but police called off the chase for safety reasons.

The car was found abandoned a short time later with the driver seen running off.

He was caught soon after and charged with engaging in a police pursuit, failing to truly answer and driving disqualified, police say.
