Adelaide man admits 'road rage' murder

A man charged with murder over a stabbing during a road rage incident in Adelaide has pleaded guilty.

Benjamin Joshua George, 26, came before the South Australian Supreme Court on Tuesday where he admitted the murder of Troy James McLean.

The two men had been driving in separate cars in Adelaide's north in November 2017 when an altercation occurred.

It ultimately led to Mr McLean being stabbed.

It was previously alleged in Adelaide Magistrates Court that George left the scene.

Mr McLean tried to drive himself to a nearby hospital but crashed on the way and died of his injuries three days later.

In court last year George had offered to plead guilty to manslaughter but prosecutors pressed on with the murder charge.

The case will return to the Supreme Court in July for sentencing submissions and victim impact statements.
