Adelaide pair accused over petrol dousing

The ex-boyfriend of a woman accused of attempted murder is still in hospital recovering from burns, an Adelaide court has been told.

Kerry Leanne Ross and Ben Cody Woodhart, both 26, are charged with attempted murder after two men were allegedly doused in petrol and set alight while sitting in a car at Davoren Park on November 9.

They were due to answer the charges in the Adelaide magistrates court on Wednesday, but the prosecutor said a DNA report was still outstanding.

The prosecutor said Ross was the ex-partner of the more seriously injured man, who is still in hospital with second and third degree burns.

They had been separated for about 12 months, but began communicating on Facebook before agreeing to meet up in Davoren Park, she added.

Magistrate Simon Smart adjourned the case to April 9.
