Russell Brand nails Pyne impression and warns Joyce he's bringing dogs and fruit

Comedian Russell Brand is taking aim at some of our most colourful politicians before he arrives in Australia with harpoons already fired at Barnaby Joyce and Christopher Pyne.

Brand recently declared his intentions to "gay marry" the prime minster when he arrives and now he's threatening to make all sorts of problems for Joyce by bringing "canines, fruits and crops" with him and brushing up on his Pyne impressions.

Or, "Jackaby Pippen" and "Clementine McNasty" as he dubbed the ministers.

The libertine Brit will be in the country in October and jokes he'll be following Johnny Depp's lead and hopes to pick a stoush with the agricultural minister.

"Me and my dogs are going to come there, unaccounted for," he said on The Project.

"I'm sneaking all sorts of canines, fruits and crops into your country — none of it's going to be registered.

"I have a banana in me right now.

"'The rules are the same for everybody!' He sounded like Johnny Depp had broke (sic) his heart. He took it so personal."

Brand was asked for his take on Christopher Pyne's infamous "I'm a fixer" interview, with the comedian seeing the remark as more evil than cute.

"I believe he was stroking a white pussy below that was brought illegally into the country," he joked before providing an impeccable impression of the minister.

"I've got a surprise for you. You don't need to know my policies. You'll know them when they happen. I've got a little surprise. I have my nipple pierced. I'm tweaking it right now..."

Brand is coming to Australia with his politically focused comedy show "Trew World Order" in October.

He's taken plenty shots at Prime Minister Tony Abbott and the government this year on his web show The Trews for their treatment of asylum seekers and their stance on gay marriage.

Last month he said his touring show would have "loads of stuff about your crazy prime minister", adding: "I might try and gay marry him when I get there. And we'll be talking about the immigration situation."
