Royal Wedding: Sun set to shine on Meghan and Harry

The sun is set to shine on Prince Harry and Meghan's big day.

Forecasters are now predicting clear skies and a top of around 21 degrees for the impending Royal nuptials.

It will be welcome news for the couple and the tens of thousands of people expected to crowd the streets of Windsor.

Anyone arriving early to get a prime position will need to rug up - they’ll be greeted by a chilly eight-degree morning.

As the historic moment edges ever closer, meteorologists are fairly confident in the forecast.

They say a high-pressure system will be the dominant system over the weekend.

Thankfully, it's unlikely to rain when Prince Harry and Meghan tie the knot.

The wedding ceremony will take place indoors, but afterwards the couple will move to the steps of the church so that the public can catch a glimpse.

That area is uncovered, so if it rains those plans may change. Prince Harry and Meghan will ride in a carriage that's open to the elements during their procession through Windsor.

If the weather turns, there is another closed carriage on standby.

We have now spent six days travelling across the UK as part of our Royal Wedding coverage and apart from one day, there has been nothing but sunshine.

The weather has been absolutely glorious. In Stratford upon Avon, Shakespeare's birthplace, everyone is raving about it.
