Rideshare giant reveals most bizarre items Aussies have left behind

What do a taxidermy mink, two pugs, a French horn and a framed photo of Bluey have in common?

These items were all left behind by Uber passengers over the past year.

The rideshare giant has unveiled its ninth annual lost and found index, which revealed some of the unique items left behind across Australia.

This year’s list includes a range of surprising finds:

7. Mortarboard (graduation cap)

9. A decorative Japanese fan
10. Pool cue
11. Drone
12. Wet green shorts

15. A single ten-pin bowling pin
16. Framed photo of Bluey
17. Birth Certificate
18. Surfboard

20. Quokka teddy

Some of the most common items left behind included phones, cameras, bags, keys, wallets and clothing.

Australians passengers were also prone to leaving behind headphones, speakers, glasses, passports and cash.

The five most forgetful cities in the country were Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane and Adelaide.

The Gold Coast, Canberra, Newcastle, Hobart and Darwin rounded out the top 10.

If you have lost something in an Uber the best way to get the lost item is to call the driver via the rideshare company’s app.
