Famous Gold Coast restaurant to hold one-off pop-up
The team behind one of the Gold Coast's most famous restaurants will be cooking up a seafood storm at a one-off pop-up event next week.
The Rick Shores team will be bringing their flavours, including their signature bug rolls, to Carafe Wines next Friday.
"It's always exciting to cook in a different environment," executive chef James Brady said.

The pop-up will include the team cooking over coals for a dining experience out in the elements.
"(It will be) showcasing some beautiful sort of shellfish, oysters, abalone and scallops," Brady said.

The one-day event will feature a limited lunch and dinner service, offering a five-course degustation lunch paired with Pommery Champagne and local wines for $225 per person.
And there could be repeat pop-ups if this one goes well.
"Pardon the jokes, but if there's the flavour, the taste, the passion and love from our community, absolutely we'd like to continue on with this next year," Carafe Wines founder Archie Cox said.
