A type of anti-anxiety medication has been recalled.

The Therapeutic Goods Administration has recalled a batch of Kynd Stress Relief tablets following reports of unexpected allergic reactions.

The affected batch number is 106585 with an expiry date of 08/2023.

They can be returned to the place of purchase for a refund.

Kynd Stress Relief is a listed medicine traditionally used to decrease symptoms of mild anxiety, the TGA, said.

The allergic reaction symptoms to watch out for include a rash, tingling or burning skin, skin redness or itching, and swelling of the throat, tongue, eyelids and/or face.
