East coast braced for rain, storms ahead of Easter weekend
Blustery weather is set to lash Australia's east coast this week, with wind and rain forecast for multiple days.
Dean Narramore from the Bureau of Meteorology said about 86mm of rain had fallen in Sydney from Saturday into Sunday morning, with widespread showers.
Rain also fell north of Sydney in the Hunter region, with more coming this morning.

Narramore said the focus of the rain today would be on Sydney through to Newcastle, but that showers and storms were also possible in the Northern Rivers region of NSW.
The rain should average between 15mm and 30mm, with isolated falls of up to 50mm.
Narramore said the rain would persist on the east coast today and tomorrow, before easing on Wednesday and Thursday.
