Woman killed by falling tree in Christmas Day storm
A 59-year-old woman has been killed after being hit by a tree after wild storms swept South East Queensland on Christmas Day.
The accident happened at 9.30pm at Helensvale on the Gold Coast.
The woman was from nearby Nerang.

Queensland Police said it will prepare a report for the coroner.
The Movie World theme park on the Gold Coast will be closed today after suffering damage in the wild weather.

The Bureau of Meteorology recorded 105km/hr winds on Gold Coast's waterfront with the worst of the storms hitting north of the city.
Storms hit Sydney and parts of NSW late on Christmas Day, and parts of the state's Central West even saw hail.
