Wanted man shot by police in Townsville
A wanted man has been shot by police in Townsville.
Police were called to reports of the wanted man, in his his 20s, on Carthew Street in Thuringowa Central just after 3.15pm
Police arrived and say an officer shot the man.

He was given first aid and taken by ambulance to Townsville University Hospital.
Police said there was no ongoing threat and appealed for witnesses.
The matter is being investigated by the Ethical Standards Command, with oversight from the Crime and Corruption Commission.
