Dashcam footage has captured a shocking attack on a man riding an e-scooter that forced him into the path of a truck in Brisbane.

The footage, which has been shared with Queensland Police, shows two people armed with wooden planks allegedly waiting to ambush the scooter rider, a 25-year-old Woolridge man, in Logan, south of Brisbane on Thursday.

The armed pair suddenly leap out of hiding and swing their planks at the man, who veers into oncoming traffic and collides with a truck hurtling by.
