Woman stabbed in the head in Qld

A man accused of stabbing a woman in the head in a remote Queensland community had been subject to a domestic violence order.

The 30-year-old woman was stabbed once in the head at a home in Aurukun on Sunday, police say.

She needed medical treatment for a deep cut to her temple area.

A 33-year-old man has been charged with unlawful wounding and contravening a domestic violence order.
