Woman kicks, punches Queensland police

A 20-year-old woman has allegedly assaulted three police officers in central Queensland, kicking and punching one in the head.

Officers were talking to a person about 1.30am on Sunday in Gregory St, Mackay when a woman stood between them to stop the conversation.

She allegedly kicked and punched one officer in the head, kicked another in the shins and pushed the third when they tried to move her away.

The Homebush resident has been charged with three counts of assaulting police and another of obstructing them.

She will face Mackay Magistrates Court on August 30.
