Woman falls from moving taxi on Gold Coast

A woman has head injuries after she jumped out of a moving taxi on the Gold Coast.
Police say the woman was in the back of the taxi when she opened the sliding door while it was driving along a Southport street about 1.30am on Monday.
The ambulance service said the woman, aged in her 30s, suffered head injuries and was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.

Police are investigating why she tried to get out of the vehicle.
