Woman dies while snorkelling in Whitsundays, Queensland
A woman in her 50s has died after suffering a medical episode while snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef.
Police confirmed the woman had been on a snorkeling and boat tour in the Whitsundays when the episode occurred on Tuesday afternoon.
Emergency Services were called and the woman was transported to an Airlie Beach Marina.

A Queensland Police spokesperson said police were notified of the incident around 12.45pm and attended the scene.
A report will be prepared for the coroner regarding the woman's death.
