Woman dies in two-car crash in Qld

A woman has died and four people, including two young girls, have been injured in a head-on crash at North Maclean in southeast Queensland.

Police say that shortly after 1pm on Saturday the cars collided on the Mount Lindsay Highway.

The driver of one car, a 33-year-old Josephville woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her two passengers, a five-year-old girl and a nine-year-old girl, were taken to Mater Children's Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The 44-year-old male driver of the other car and his 44-year-old female passenger were also taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
