Woman caught in tree after cliff car crash

A woman has escaped serious injury after her car slipped off a hillside in the Gold Coast hinterland.

Emergency crews were called to Beechmont Road near Binna Burra just after 9am on Wednesday, where they found the woman out of her car about 50 metres down an embankment.

The 56-year-old had suffered cuts to her legs and was complaining of shoulder pain. She will be taken to hospital after being treated at the scene.
