Woman, 47, dies crossing road in Cairns

A 47-year-old woman has died after being struck by a vehicle while crossing a road in Cairns.
The incident occurred at about 8pm on Thursday on Sheridan Street.
The woman was treated at the scene before being taken to Cairns Hospital where she later died from her injuries, police said.
