Wheelie bin hurled at ambulance in Cairns

A wheelie bin and a bottle have been hurled at an ambulance during a disturbance that sparked four arrests in Cairns.

An ambulance officer called to a Manoora unit complex was confronted by several people just before 10am on Sunday.

She was abused and threatened before the bin and bottle were hurled at the ambulance vehicle. Police were also confronted when they arrived at the scene.

Two men and two women, aged 18 to 26, have been arrested on obstruction, assault and public nuisance charges and will face a Cairns court later this month. No-one was injured.
