Whale frees itself from GC shark net

A whale caught in a shark net off the Gold Coast has freed itself.

Sea World dispatched a team to Broadbeach on Wednesday morning following reports the whale had become stuck in a net.

However, the whale released itself before the team arrived and did not need to be rescued.
