AMBER HEARD'S GOLD COAST COURT APPEARANCE

NOW SHOWING: The latest instalment in the "War on Terriers" with Hollywood actress Amber Heard facing Southport Magistrates Court for failing to declare her Yorkshire terriers on arrival in Queensland last year.

STARRING: Heard and her movie star husband Johnny Depp - who appeared to nod off during the hearing on Monday - while terriers Boo and Pistol were this time left at home.

ORIGINAL CONCEPT: Pistol and Boo were a headline act when they arrived with Heard while Depp was on the Gold Coast filming the latest Pirates of the Caribbean movie, prompting Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce to warn the dogs needed to "bugger off".

PLOT: The court was told Heard failed to declare the dogs on her arrival card because she was tired, jet-lagged and normally not responsible for organising quarantine and immigration travel arrangements for the dogs.

REVIEW: Heard avoids conviction but placed on one-month good behaviour bond. She and Depp release a video apology to be used by the Agriculture Department as an educational tool about the importance of correctly declaring items to Customs.
