Van Manen falls further behind in Forde

Sitting LNP member Bert van Manen has fallen further behind in his fight to retain his southern Brisbane seat of Forde.

With about 79 per cent of the vote counted, the ALP's Des Hardman increased his lead on Tuesday by a further eight votes to 157.

Counting is continuing in the electorate that cut short former Queensland premier Peter Beattie's attempted political comeback in 2013.
