It followed a fire at a vacant property in Cornubia, south of Brisbane.
The home was well alight when crews arrived late on Friday, the Queensland Fire and Emergency Service said.
Fire investigators will spend Saturday combing through the charred property to determine the cause.
Police are treating the fire as suspicious.
