Her mother was not physically injured.

"I saw a front wheel of a pram and a toddler, maybe two to three, on the ground being treated," witness Lorraine Eggers said.

Police collected dashcam vision from a nearby tow truck in the hope that will help them piece together the moments before the crash.

"We don't know what's exactly caused the crash at this stage, whether someone stepped out too soon or whether the truck has missed the lights," Phil Hughes from Queensland Police said.

"We don't have any cameras on this intersection so we are appealing to anyone who may have dashcam or as a witness to the crash to come forward."

Police said the truck driver pulled over immediately, jumped out and performed first aid on the little girl.

Other members of the public also assisted at the scene until paramedics arrived.

"We were shocked, you know, obviously when there's a mum there and obviously she's upset," witness Pedro Cuitavuki said.
