Three in hospital after Brisbane head-on crash

Three people have been taken to hospital after a head-on crash in the Brisbane suburb Inala this morning.

Two cars collided on Serviceton Avenue just after 8am, a Queensland Police spokesman said.

A man in his 80s and two women in their 20s were treated at the scene and taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital, a Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said.

The elderly man was treated for chest pains.

One woman was treated for shoulder pain and a possible wrist fracture, and the other woman was treated for abdominal and pelvic pain.

The road was closed in both directions while emergency services cleared the scene, and the road was open in both directions by 9.10am.

Police are investigating the crash.
