Teenager charged over Qld fight

A teenager has been charged over an attack in Gympie that left a man with a slash wound to his arm and facial bruising.

The 17-year-old is believed to have known the 25-year-old victim.

Armed with a knife, he confronted the man on Wednesday night, police say.

The older man was assaulted several times and suffered a cut to his arm and bruising to his face.

The younger man will appear in the Gympie Magistrates Court on Thursday charged with one count each of wounding and deprivation of liberty.
