Teen fights off older man in Qld attack

A teenage girl has made a terrified call to police after an older man attacked her and held her against her will at a Brisbane home.

It's alleged the man threw the teen on the floor and pounced on her, with the girl suffering scratches to her face in a violent struggle.

She managed to flee to another room of the Upper Mount Gravatt property, lock the door and call police.

Officers arrested the 47-year-old man nearby shortly after the incident, which happened just before before 6pm on Sunday.

Police say the teenager and the man were only loosely known to each other.

The man will face the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday, charged with entering a dwelling with intent, deprivation of liberty, assault occasioning bodily harm and robbery after he allegedly stole the girl's mobile phone.
