Suspicious device in Qld park harmless

A suspicious device which sparked an emergency at a park near Brisbane has turned out to be harmless.
A 600 metre exclusion zone was established around Bennett Park at Camira on Friday morning after a council worker found what appeared to be a suspicious device.

Specialist police examined the device which reportedly turned out to be a pair of metal tubes and a magnet which had been attached to a park bench.
The exclusion zone around the park was lifted about 12.45pm, two hours after it was established.
Investigations are continuing.
