Storm warning issued for Gold Coast

The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a warning for "very dangerous" thunderstorms near Tweed Heads and the southern end of the Gold Coast.
The three storm cells are moving towards the northeast and are expected to affect Coolangatta and Miami just before 4pm on Thursday.
The bureau says damaging winds and large hailstones are likely with the storms and are urging people in affected areas to take precautions.
