Severe thunderstorms set to inundate Qld

Severe thunderstorms bringing heavy rain, damaging winds and large hailstones are forecast to hit parts of Queensland.
Bureau of Meteorology forecasters say a storm bringing heavy rain to the southeast coast on Saturday morning will be followed by another more severe system later in the afternoon.
The second storm is expected to bring large hail, strong winds and heavy rain to Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Rockhampton, Emerald and the Darling Downs.

Up to 100mm of rain is expected to hit some regions.
Heavy rain has already been reported in some areas, including 34mm at Mount Nebo northwest of Brisbane.
