Second escapee caught at Brisbane home

The second of two women who allegedly escaped from a south Queensland jail has been caught at a Brisbane home.

The 24-year-old was arrested at the Carindale residence on Thursday morning, 18 days after her and a 21-year-old accomplice slipped out of the Numinbah Valley correctional centre, police say.

She's been charged with several offences including escape lawful custody and is due to face Brisbane Magistrates Court on Thursday.

The other woman had been caught on September 18.
