Search for man off Fraser Island concluded

The search for a man believed to have fallen from a cargo ship near Fraser Island has been called off.
The search had been underway since crew on a Liberian vessel noticed he was missing late on Tuesday night.
The Australian Maritime Safety Authority joined the search on Wednesday morning.

Six helicopters and three planes, as well as a police vessel, were recruited to scour seas about 55km east of Fraser Island.
But the search was suspended at last light on Wednesday.
There were no plans to resume it on Thursday morning, an AMSA spokesperson said.
