Woman, 74, dies in hospital after being hit by SUV in central Queensland
An elderly woman has died after being hit by an SUV in central Queensland.
The woman, 74, was struck by a Land Rover while walking about 6.30pm on Saturday night on Cambridge Street in Rockhampton.
She was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and died overnight.

Police say the 49-year-old male driver and 47-year-old female passenger of the SUV were not injured.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident.
