At least one person stabbed during confrontation in Deception Bay, north of Brisbane

At least one person has been stabbed in Deception Bay, north of Brisbane.

A Queensland Police spokesman said they had been called to the scene about 10.55am after receiving reports of an incident.

The spokesman said an offender tried to break into the home when a confrontation occurred and a female received a knife wound to her hand.

She is being treated by paramedics at the scene.

The spokesman said police are searching for a vehicle in relation to the incident.

Emergency services are at the scene.
