Protesters rally outside Dutton's office
AAP
About 45 protesters have rallied outside Immigration Minister Peter Dutton's Queensland electoral office, calling for an end to offshore detention centres.
The protesters waved homemade placards outside the Liberal MP's Strathpine office, north of Brisbane, to morning traffic on Thursday.
They want Nauru and Manus Island detention centres to be closed immediately.

Police say the demonstration, organised by the Refugee Action Collective, went peacefully without the need for arrests.
This comes as asylum seekers at a Darwin detention centre reportedly blockaded a compound to stop several Iranian families from being returned to Nauru.
