Race-caller struggles with foggy field

Heavy fog left a race-caller struggling to do his job at an event in Toowoomba, Queensland.

Video shows the Toowoomba racecourse shrouded in a blanket of fog last night,  as horses in the 1300m event reached the final 200 metres.

“Geez, I can’t pick up one little thing,” the race-caller can be heard saying.

Televised footage of the race shows a milky haze and little else, highlighting the race-caller’s challenge.

Despite the haze, he managed to call the winning horse as Hownowbrowncow with a margin of 1.22. 38.

Red Geranium and She is Fierce were the barely visible runners up.
