Queensland man charged after police find $1.1 million stash of stolen diesel
A Queensland man has been charged after he allegedly stole $1.1 million worth of diesel fuel over a 12-month period.
Police allege the 48-year-old man used stolen fuel cards to pump fuel from unmanned diesel depots in Brisbane and Ipswich between December 2024 and December 2025.
The diesel was allegedly swiped from depots in the suburbs of Parkinson, Bundamba and Karawatha.

The man was arrested after police executed a search warrant at a home in Greenbank, Logan, on March 24, where officers allegedly uncovered evidence of the fuel theft, other stolen property and a home-made taser device.
He has been charged with seven offences, including two counts of receiving tainted property, one count each of fraud to the value of at least $100,000, enter premises and commit indictable offence and unlawful possession of weapons Category D/H/R weapon.
Police warned the charges are a timely reminder that fuel theft is a serious crime, no matter the amount.

"Whether it's one tank of fuel or a large-scale diesel fraud, stealing is an offence which can land you before the court," Acting Detective Inspector Justin Anderson said.
The man appeared before Richlands Magistrates Court on March 25.
He has been remanded in custody to appear in court again on May 15.
