Queensland bus driver punched by cyclist

A bus driver has been punched in the face several times by a cyclist near Brisbane.

The 49-year-old male driver was travelling in Toowong around 8.30pm on Tuesday night when he overtook a cyclist who later confronted the driver while he was stopped at a nearby bus depot, Queensland Police say.

The male cyclist then punched the bus driver in the face several times before fleeing the scene.

The driver suffered a laceration to his eye and lip.
