Missing three-year-old boy found safe and well

A missing three-year-old boy whom police issued an amber alert for has been found safe and well by police.

The boy, who was missing from the Gold Coast suburb of Oxenford, was located by police along with a woman he knew around 9am this morning.

The woman is assisting police.

Detectives have thanked the public for their assistance in the search.
