A Queensland man who tried to assault another driver after allegedly trying to escape police in a stolen car has caused his own passenger be injured.

Police say a man, 27, crashed into a police car twice and then another vehicle while trying to evade capture in Beenleigh, south of Brisbane, on Friday morning.

He then punched the driver's side window of the other car, causing that driver, a 47-year-old man, to drive off and hit a woman standing nearby, police said.

The woman, 20, who had been a passenger in the stolen car, was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A man has since been charged with 11 offences, including assaulting police and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

He'll appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Monday.
