QUEENSLAND'S HISTORY-MAKING STATE ELECTION

- If Labor wins, as expected, Annastacia Palaszczuk will be the first woman premier in Australian history to be elected from opposition

- Campbell Newman has become the first Queensland premier to lose his seat since Digby Denham was booted out of Oxley in June 1915

- Leeanne Enoch (Algester) elected as Queensland's first indigenous female MP

- Ms Enoch and Billy Gordon (Cook) become Labor's first indigenous MPs elected in Queensland

- They're the first indigenous MPs to be elected in Queensland since the very first, Eric Deeral, who won Cook in 1974 for the Bjelke-Petersen government

- No conservative government has won a second term since the Bjelke-Petersen era

- Biggest swing against a first-term state government since 1955, when John Cain Labor government was kicked out during DLP split with a 14.6 per cent swing
