Qld road cop stood down

A Queensland policeman has been stood down over allegations he inappropriately accessed confidential information.

The 41-year-old constable was from the Road Policing Command, but a police spokesman was not able to say in which area of the state he was working.

"In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when an officer faces serious allegations of misconduct. This does not mean that the allegations against the officer have been substantiated," the Queensland Police Service said in a statement.
