Two men have been charged following a Crime and Corruption Commission investigation into the fraudulent awarding of Racing Queensland contracts.

A 52-year-old former Racing Queensland procurement officer and a 57-year-old contractor have been charged with multiple fraud and forgery charges over the racetrack upgrade contracts.

The CCC say the contracts were for race courses in southeast Queensland.

It is also alleged the 52-year-old man, from Ascot, signed off on forged quotes.

Ascot is home to both Eagle Farm and Doomben racecourses.

Both men are due to face Brisbane Magistrates Court on June 7.
