Nine months jail for Qld sex predator

A central Queensland sex predator who pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography will spend the next nine months behind bars.
Gavin John Lloyd, 37, appeared in the Rockhampton District Court on Tuesday, where he was sentenced to three years' jail.
That prison term will be suspended after he serves just nine months.

Lloyd, who was arrested by the Australian Federal Police in October 2014, pleaded guilty to six child pornography offences, including the transmission or publishing of material and indecent communications with a person under the age of 16.
Lloyd also received a three-year probation order for one of the offences which he will have to adhere to when he leaves prison.
