Police have named two men they're hunting after the murder of a man in a Queensland car park.

Paul Rock, 53, died after getting into a fight in the rear car park of the hotel at Laidley about 6pm on Monday.

Police have now named the men they want to talk to.

Beau Smith, 26, and Kye Enright, 21, left the pub in a black sedan that was seen last seen on the Ipswich Motorway at Goodna shortly before 6.30pm that night.

Detective Inspector Lew Strohfeldt said the attack on Mr Rock was "extremely violent" and not random.

"This is not a normal thing that we do, by releasing the names and the photographs of the people we are looking for, but we believe we need to do this," he said.

Police have warned people not to approach the men because they are dangerous, and to call triple zero.
