Qld police hunt arsonists

Police suspect arsonists are to blame for two suspicious fires in Queensland's southeast.

A vacant house at Banyo, in Brisbane's north, was badly damaged when a blaze broke out about 2am on Monday.

Police are also investigating a fire that swept through an abandoned unit complex on the esplanade at Surfers Paradise on Sunday night. The fire caused extensive damage.
