Qld police attacked in church grounds

A man will front a Brisbane court accused of biting one police officer and hitting another in the grounds of a church.

It's alleged the 45-year-old bit a male officer on the arm and hit a female officer in the face when they tried to arrest him for trespassing on church grounds in innercity North Quay. Both officers were treated in hospital.

The man has been charged with assaulting police, trespass, and possessing a knife in public and will front the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Friday.
