Qld paramedic punched, kicked in ambulance

A Brisbane paramedic has allegedly been kicked in the groin and punched in the head by a patient in the back of an ambulance.

Police say a 34-year-old woman was being taken to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in the early hours of Monday when she assaulted the male paramedic.

She is expected to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday charged with serious assaulting a public officer.

The paramedic suffered minor injuries.
